She was seen diagnosing Kinkajou's injury in Possibility. Mayfly was referred to be "the best doctor in Possibility", according to Meerkat. When the dragonets arrived at the clinic, Winter was surprised to see that she was a MudWing. She was also very skeptical on the true reason Kinkajou was there, and was fairly certain that the cause of her injuries was something more realistic, such as being tread over by hippos, and not the result of being attacked by a dragon with super-strength. She continued to pursue the course, but after Moon kept insisting its actual cause, she subsided, grumbling about how there was no shame in her other suggestions.
After Kinkajou was attacked by Shapeshifter, Hailstorm, Moonwatcher, Qibli, and Winter sought immediate medical attention. After arriving at Possibility, the nearest resting place, Qibli asked Meerkat for directions to someone who could help. After following Meerkat to Mayfly's work area, Mayfly was skeptical that Kinkajou's injuries could have been caused by a dragon. After interrogating them for another reason for Kinkajou's wounds, she finally accepted their story and took Kinkajou and Moonwatcher into her work space so that she could heal Kinkajou.


She observed that Kinkajou, with white scales, had originally looked like an IceWing to her, offending Hailstorm. Mayfly harshly told Winter and Hailstorm to stop blocking the light, shoving a foul-smelling jar in their faces for emphasis. Her hostility towards the IceWing brothers was most likely because of her dislike of IceWings in general (since she had fought and been injured by them before, a frostbite injury on her back leg). She has also been shown to have something to do with the mysterious '[[The Enclave|Enclave]]'.
