Template:Infobox LocationMantis Hive is the southernmost of the nine Hives of Pantala, located between Cicada Hive and Bloodworm Hive. It is also close to some other unlabeled lakes. It is considered 'the smart hive'.

Given that Lady Cicada rules Cicada Hive, Queen Wasp rules Wasp Hive, and there is a Lady Bloodworm who is in charge of Bloodworm Hive, Mantis Hive is most likely ruled by Lady Mantis.
It was mentioned to be the academic's Hive in The Hive Queen.
It was also mentioned that the Mantis Hive has the second largest library in Pantala, the first being the Jewel Hive's library, taking up a whole floor.
A section of the Hive had recently collapsed (as mentioned in The Lost Continent.)
- Many dragons said that LeafWings were responsible, but Luna thinks that the LeafWing story was a cover-up and it actually collapsed due to faulty construction.
- Additionally, it could be the result of the comet (the "fourth moon" in The Brightest Night) flying by.
