Malachite is a male HiveWing who is the father of Cricket according to Lady Scarab. He was Lady Scarab's secretary when she was the Minister of Education. It was stated by her that he was "Brilliant, talented, made excellent coffee, full of exciting ideas". She says that he gave her hope for the future of the tribe.
He currently works for Queen Wasp who parades him past Lady Scarab whenever she can; him under her control.
