Biography
Legends
At age seven during a school recess, Ivy decided to go and ask Mrs. Laurel about if what her father did was right. The reason she decided to be open with Miss Laurel was that when she would talk to her other teachers, they would avoid the question and say things like "That's not in the curriculum, Ivy," or "You'll understand when you're older." Because Mrs. Laurel seemed so sweet to Ivy, she attempted to talk to her about her father. However, after the conversation, Miss Laurel came to the same conclusion as all of Ivy's other teachers: that she would learn about what the dragonslayer did when she was older and that at her age, she wouldn't understand. Ivy came to the conclusion that Miss Laurel was "just like all the other adults." When Ivy left to go back to the underground lake for recess, Violet and Daffodil whisked her away and asked her about Ivy and Miss Laurel's conversation about The Dragonslayer, Pine, and the old village.
Quotes
"Of course, Ivy."
"In the great hall? Yes. Everybody did. It was a mandatory gathering. Do you know what mandatory means?"
"Oh. [...] Did it scare you, sweetheart?"
"He was saying that Pine was a danger to the community. [...] Pine went to the old village and scavenged in the ruins. If any dragons had been watching, he could have led them right back to us."
"I'm sure that's not the case." -About The Dragonslayer going to the ruins.
"Aren't you lucky to have such a brave father to take care of you."
"Perhaps you've misunderstood where he goes, dear. Anyway, he's the Dragonslayer, and lord of Valor. They're his laws, and we can't possibly break them."
"That's silly, Ivy. You'll learn more about how laws and lords work when you're older. Now you better hurry if you want to have time to play."
