Hvitur was charged with the task along with Kestrel (a SkyWing), Webs (a SeaWing), Dune (a SandWing), and Asha (a MudWing) to find and protect the Dragonets of Destiny. During their quest to steal the dragonets' eggs, he broke into the SkyWing palace to thieve the prophesized egg. Unfortunately, on the way out, he was located and attacked by Burn, the oldest and one of the three SandWing sisters conflicting over the throne, and two of her guards. She chained him and toyed with the egg while Hvitur pleaded for the egg's safety. Annoyed and angry, Burn dramatically dropped the egg over a cliff and proceeded to stab him in his skull with her barbed, venom-tipped tail. He was then flung off the same cliff.
