Heliconia is one of the RainWings in Queen Glory's secret invisible guard, who Deathbringer assigned to quietly follow the queen and protect her from potential assassination attempts. The guards aren't really that secret, because Glory knows about them, although other assassins likely won't. In Winter Turning, Glory accidentally mistook her for Banana. Heliconia politely corrects her and states that it was a good guess.
Appearance
Heliconia has pink scales[1] in her appearance, which may suggest an inherently cheery personality.
Biography
Glory mistook Heliconia for Banana while Heliconia was following her. Heliconia was then assigned to alerting the scout captains of the Queen to meet Glory at the pavilion as quickly as possible, though Heliconia didn't want to leave her unguarded. It can be noted that she is very protective and polite towards Queen Glory. Glory told her that she will not be unguarded; she had multiple guards, which lead her to bicker with Deathbringer.
Later, Heliconia wanted to refuse Winter entry to the hatchery, saying he looked too 'hostile' because Winter, at that time, wanted to establish IceWing superiority.
Trivia
- Heliconia holds a lot of respect for Queen Glory, shown when she doesn't seem to be angry when mistaken for Banana.
- Heliconia may also have a lot of patience for the new queen.
- Heliconia's scales have been described as "a rather hideous shade of pink" [1] by Winter.
- Queen Glory mistook Heliconia for Banana.
