Earwig is a female HiveWing from Tsetse Hive who was introduced in The Flames of Hope. She currently lives in the SilkWing encampments after defecting from the Hives.
Description
Earwig has red and black scales.[1]
Personality
She probably does not want any reminder of the Hives, as she left to go to the SilkWing encampments.[2] She is also kind and grateful, as she kept trying to look for the dragons who gave her the map back home.[2] She seems to hate physical pain, as she asked to be mind-controlled after being injured in the battle on the island.
History
The Lost Continent Prophecy
Earwig was one of the controlled HiveWing soldiers who ambushed the Pyrrhia-Pantala Representatives at the beginning of the The Flames of Hope. Earwig was knocked out during the fight with the stealth team and later woke up after the fight. Wasp, who was inside an unknown SilkWing, asked her for information on any sightings of the invisible stealth team. Earwig said that she did not see anyone at all. After this, Wasp promptly left Earwig and the rest of the unconscious HiveWings on the island behind. After Moonwatcher, Qibli, Pineapple, and Tsunami were captured by the HiveWings and taken to Wasp Hive, Earwig found a map of how to get to Pyrrhia and Pantala in Tsunami's pouch, which she lost during the ambush. She tried to call back Wasp but was hit by a RainWing blowdart by Lynx. Later Cricket and Sundew had a fight about whether or not they should leave part of the map with Earwig so they could find their way back. They ultimately decided to make a copy of the map for Earwig to follow so she could find her way home.
Earwig was later mentioned at the end of The Flames of Hope as one of the HiveWings who decided to live in the newly formed LeafSilk Kingdom. Earwig was also mentioned to have been trying to find the ones who had made her the map.
