Dune was a SandWing and a former member of the Talons of Peace. He was one of the Guardians of the Dragonets.
History
Dune was placed along with Kestrel, Webs, Asha, and Hvitur to protect the dragonets of the prophecy. However, due to the Mudwing and Skywing egg, Hvitur was caught by Burn, who smashed the SkyWing Egg and killed him. Asha died as well, from severe injury.
