Dune is a Sandwing formerly a member of the Talons of Peace.
History
Dune was placed, along with Asha, Hvitur, Kestrel, and Webs to protect the dragonets of prophecy. However, due to the Mudwing and Skywing egg, Hvitur and Asha died from severe injury. This left him, Kestrel, and Webs to raise Tsunami, Clay, Sunny, Starflight, and Glory. He had lost one of his legs before the book started.
He tended to be harsh on Glory, but not as harsh as Kestrel. He also was nicer to Sunny and made sure to teach her more due to her disabillites. After the vistitor Morrowseer, he was the most reluctant to kill Glory. However, due to this plot, it lead to the attack by Queen Scarlet. During the battle, he was pinned by Scarlet, and she violently snapped his neck.
