Template:QuoteBox Template:Charbox Burnet is a SilkWing who appeared in The Lost Continent. She is Blue's biological mother,[1] Luna's stepmother,[1] and Silverspot's partner. [1] Her former mate is Admiral.[2]
Biography
It was mentioned in the beginning of The Lost Continent that both Burnet and Silverspot were former assigned partners of Admiral, although not at the same time. However, he was moved to another Hive by Queen Wasp when Blue and Luna were only eggs due to his flamesilk abilities. The Queen gave Burnet her partner of choice, Silverspot, although dragons who loved each other were usually separated.
Burnet was also shown when Luna was taken away by HiveWing guards. She watched as Io helped Blue escape the queen's grasp, wearily saying that it would probably be better for Blue to just turn himself in. She made no attempt to save her son as he and Io escaped the Cocoon.
Relationships
Burnet was Admiral's mate at one point[2] and had Blue with him.[2] Soon after, Admiral was moved to another Hive,[2] later revealed to be Wasp Hive.[3] They were never shown with feelings toward each other.
It is stated that Burnet and Silverspot "loved each other more than they could ever have loved Admiral."[2]

Trivia
- Burnet is a species of moth, also known as the Zygaenidae.
- Due to her relationship with Silverspot, she is one of seven confirmed LGBT+ characters in the series. Others include: Anemone, Umber, Silverspot, Snowfox, and Snowflake.
