Boto is a male RainWing dragonet who attends Jade Mountain Academy as part of the Silver Winglet.
Personality
Boto is placid-looking.[1] He also appeared to be often scared and nervous, and was shown twice to turn into shades of green. He appeared to be mostly worried over death and injury, given his conversation with Peril and asking if Darkstalker was going to kill them.
However, Boto may enjoy expressing himself through activities, as he was included in the dragons who danced along to Qibli's drumming in Moon Rising.

He was described to be dancing with both Sepia and Kinkajou when the Jade and Silver Winglets used instruments together in the music room at Jade Mountain Academy. Later in the book, he was shown resting in a patch of sunlight along with two other RainWing students, Coconut and Siamang.

Boto was seen attending a history class along with the Jade and Silver Winglets. Darkstalker's murderous past was brought up, Boto's talons turned lime green and he began anxiously asking whether it was likely that they would be murdered.
Trivia
- Boto was still worried about Darkstalker even after the spell he cast, which might imply that the spell was focused on dragons Darkstalker was near to or likely to meet. However, it may also imply Darkstalker didn't see him as much of a threat.
