Arid is a SandWing in the Quartz Winglet of the Jade Mountain Academy. They appeared along with Pronghorn and Ostrich when Moon and Qibli came to talk to Onyx about the fire. When Moon read their mind, it was proven that they either supported Burn or Blaze during the Great War, but now she supports Thorn and is highly respective of her or anyone involved with her, such as Qibli. It is unknown if they will be mentioned in the upcoming books.
