Template:Infobox CharacterPrince Arctic was the last IceWing animus in the tribe and the father of Darkstalker. He was spoken of in Winter Turning and is part of the reason for the hatred between the NightWings and IceWings. In Escaping Peril, Darkstalker said that he enchanted Arctic to kill himself.
Biography
Pre-Series
It was just days from when Prince Arctic was going to give an animus enchanted gift to his tribe, as part of an IceWing animus custom, instead Arctic chose that time to run away with his lover, Foeslayer.
Queen Diamond refused to accept that Prince Arctic just ran away, so she lied to the tribe about how Foeslayer wanted the animus power for her tribe, and kidnapped Arctic so they could have an animus dragonet. Because Arctic abandoned the IceWings, there were no more IceWing animus dragons in the future and the IceWings were furious at the NightWings for "stealing their last animus." There was no way to take Arctic back into the tribe because his son Darkstalker killed him. Later in Escaping Peril we find out that Darkstalker enchanted Arctic to obey his every command. While Moonwatcher was talking to him she accused him of commanding Prince Arctic to kill himself, to which Darkstalker replies that he made Arctic disembowel himself.

- Tui T. Sutherland hinted that it was possible that he was still alive.
- Even though Prince Arctic had no NightWing powers, he instructed Darkstalker on how to use his.
