Anhinga was an adult female MudWing who was featured in A Guide to the Dragon World. She ruled as queen of the MudWings before being challenged and killed by her daughter Egret. Before her death, she resided in the MudWing palace.

Anhinga ruled as queen of the MudWings centuries prior to Queen Moorhen's rule. She had a clutch of five eggs which provided two heirs to the throne, Egret and Bayou. Eventually, Anhinga was challenged for the throne and killed by Egret.
