Template:Infobox CharacterAlbatross was an animus SeaWing, known as a prince and a hero who lived many thousand years ago. He is distantly related to the SeaWing royal family and died after overusing his animus abilities and ultimately going insane. He slaughtered nine dragons before he was killed with a spear to his chest.

However, Albatross ended up going insane from his animus curse after overusing his abilities and attempted to kill everyone, including his sister (the current queen of his time). He was stopped and eventually put down by a spear through his chest by his grandson, Fathom.
Anemone made references to Albatross several times, saying that she didn't wish to use her animus powers and go insane like him. Unfortunately, Albatross's hard work may have been in vain, considering the Summer Palace was recently destroyed during in this book, though it was well hidden and had stayed that way prior to it's destruction.
