Sunset and Eagle were at a party, being given a tour by Queen Lagoon herself when [[Prince Albatross]] snapped, turning insane, and killed the SeaWing queen. The two tried to escape, but Albatross turned the knife over in his talons and let it go, impaling Sunset "where her jaw met her neck,"{{Ref|DSL|87}} (most likely severing her carotid artery) and killing her instantly. Her companion, Eagle, was supposedly stabbed in the heart, but miraculously survived. After her death, the two tribes agreed to somewhat of a peace treaty where the SeaWings would give them the shore villages and send a tribute of gems and seafood for the next five years, partially due to the princess's death and partially to convince the SkyWings to keep quiet about the massacre,{{Ref|DSL|127}} so other tribes wouldn't take advantage of their vulnerability at the time.

Sunset was an adult female SkyWing princess who was introduced in Darkstalker. She was the daughter of Queen Carmine and was sent to discuss possible peace negotiations with the SeaWings about the new shore villages along with Eagle. She was killed by Albatross during the Royal SeaWing Massacre.

Description

Sunset had shiny, polished red scales the color of hibiscus petals, drops of blood, or giant rubies.[1] She had amber eyes.[2]

Personality

Sunset was wary of animus magic.[3] She seemed to share her tribe's wariness of "dangerous differences". She seemed supremely uninterested by Fathom's introduction of Indigo, and complained about the food being served raw at the Island Palace.[4]
