Later Clay played this song on the metal wires used in the SkyWing prison to communicate with Peril when he hadn't seen her for a while, and needed her to tell him where Sunny was. He noted that the wires' noises sounded too eerie, unlike the song's joyful tune. The other prisoners joined in, revealing the song's popularity among the tribes and hope in the dragonets, but they were interrupted by Princess Burn and Queen Scarlet. As they were singing, they left out the “hooray” at the end, as Clay did when he played the wires.

We The Dragons of the Sky
History
In Escaping Peril, Prince Cliff, the only son of Queen Ruby and Ex-Queen Scarlet's grandson, made up a song called "We The Dragons of the Sky". This was created after Ex-Queen Scarlet reclaimed her throne in the Sky Kingdom, and took Cliff hostage to get Ruby to cooperate with her. Scarlet was asleep on her throne, while Peril, who was under Chameleon's enchantment and therefore working for Ex-Queen Scarlet, was watching Cliff to prevent him from trying to escape. Cliff asked if she wanted to hear a song he'd just made up, and after he sang it to her, Peril wisely advised Cliff not to sing the song to his grandmother, seeing as how it implied that Ruby was a much better queen than Scarlet.

They shine like rubies and gold!

All hail the glorious SkyWings!

They're brave and fearless and bold!

Look up, in the sky!

It's a SkyWing! Sheep better run for the hills! Run faster, you sheep!

Run away, all you prey!

Or today is the day you get killed!

Hooray for the glorious SkyWings!

Our wings are the envy of all!

Three cheers for the marvelous SkyWings!

We have fangs and talons and fire!

We know you wall want to be SkyWings!

Fly faster and stronger and higher!

The Dragonets Are Coming

History

The Dragonet Prophecy

Webs taught the song to the dragonets, which was a mistake in the eyes of Dune and Kestrel, as Tsunami sang it to get on their nerves. After Morrowseer visited the dragonets, Tsunami sang the song to try to get their guardians to release her, only stopping after Kestrel threatened to tie Clay to a stalactite. Later, Clay played this song on the metal wires used in the SkyWing prison to communicate with Peril when he hadn't seen her for a while and needed her to inform him on Sunny's current location. He noted that the wires' noises sounded too eerie, unlike the song's joyful tune. The other prisoners joined in, revealing the song's popularity among the tribes and hope in the dragonets, but they were interrupted by Princess Burn and Queen Scarlet. As they were singing, they left out the "hooray" at the end, as Clay did when he played the wires.

Glory recognized Deathbringer whistling it as a warning to the other NightWings on their mission in the rainforest.

The MudWing soldiers in the camp sang the "eerie" version of the song, after Sunny visited Queen Moorhen's dream and told her to cancel the IceWing attack as well as to tell Princess Burn to meet in the courtyard of her stronghold to decide the SandWing queen.

The Dragonets are coming being played in the SkyWing Arena by Clay, from The Dragonet Prophecy (graphic novel)

They're coming to save the day.

They're coming to fight,

For they know what's right,

The dragonets, hooray!"

We The Dragons of the Sky

We The Dragons of the Sky is a song made up by Prince Cliff in Escaping Peril.

History

Jade Mountain Prophecy

Cliff created this song after ex-Queen Scarlet reclaimed her throne in the Sky Kingdom, and took Cliff hostage to get Ruby to cooperate with her. Scarlet was asleep on her throne, while Peril, who was under Chameleon's enchantment and therefore working for ex-Queen Scarlet, was watching Cliff to prevent him from trying to escape. Cliff asked if she wanted to hear a song he'd just made up. After he sang it to her, Peril wisely advised Cliff not to sing the song to his grandmother, as it implied that Ruby was a much better leader than Scarlet.

Lyrics

"We the dragons of the sky

We can fly and fly and fly!

We go up so super high

We the dragons of the sky

And we know my mom is best

Better queen than all the rest

She come save us from this mess

We the dragons dragons dragons of the sky!"
