He had pale, sandy yellow wing membranes, a golden frill, yellow scales, dark grayish-blue eyes, and white teeth, talons, and horns. He also appeared to have a slight underbite. Sandstorm has a red-colored tongue on the cover, but this is most likely [[Joy Ang]]’s mistake. He is shown to look less like a normal SandWing and more like Sunny with his golden scales.


In ''Dragonslayer'', he is described as enormous and gleaming, and that its venomous tail was a promise of death to come.

Sandstorm was an adult male SandWing who was introduced in Dragonslayer. He was formerly a general under Burn and resided in the SandWing stronghold until he was poisoned and killed by Wren in order to rescue Sky.
