Bloodworm is an adult female HiveWing who was mentioned in The Hive Queen. She is a sister of Ex-Queen Wasp, and was the ruler of Bloodworm Hive before it was burned down by the PoisonWings and the Chrysalis. She is currently imprisoned in the flamesilk factory alongside her other sisters.

Bloodworm was indirectly mentioned when Scarab talked to Cricket about Wasp's mind control, and how it did not work on herself or any of Wasp's sisters.
In the prologue, Bryony described her hive as "palpably horrible," and Grayling stated that Bloodworm Hive has a lot of Chrysalis members due to how cruel she is.
