Wings of Fire: Legends is a series of books written by Tui T. Sutherland as a companion to the Wings of Fire series. These books tend to be larger than the main series Wings of Fire books, and focus on the past and the history that is not covered by the main books. These books often fill in gaps left out in the main series. They have three protagonists for each book, which rotates around each chapter.
The first Legends book is titled Darkstalker. The perspective rotates between three dragons — Darkstalker the animus NightWing-IceWing hybrid, the NightWing Clearsight, who he loves, and Fathom of the SeaWings, their best friend, and an animus. The prologue is from the point of view of Arctic the IceWing, Darkstalker's father, and the epilogue is told from the perspective of Indigo the SeaWing, Fathom's true love. The story takes place in around 3,008 AS. It was released on June 28, 2016. A graphic novel adaptation of the novel is set to release November 4th, 2025.
