Stone is an adult male human who was introduced in Dragonslayer. He is Heath and Rose's brother, Ivy's uncle, and the killer of Queen Oasis.

Description

Stone has a beard and is the biggest of his siblings. He has a rusty voice.

Personality

Stone is said to be always sad, overprotective, broody, and judgmental. He dislikes talking about the death of Queen Oasis. Boar describes him as a lost cause even though he is the human who killed Oasis. He avoids attention, having allowed Heath to take credit for killing Queen Oasis. He is stubborn and insistent, willing to risk his life alone in the SandWing stronghold so that he would not lose another family member to the palace.

Stone was indirectly mentioned when Tsunami saw two scavengers stranded in the storm and thought of the scavengers that had killed Queen Oasis. She expressed anger towards the two scavengers, but gave them her mercy by putting them somewhere where they would not drown, thinking that despite what the scavengers did, she would let them live.

The Hidden Kingdom
Stone and his siblings were indirectly mentioned when Glory explained to Jambu about how the War of SandWing Succession started.

The Dark Secret
Stone and his siblings were indirectly mentioned during Starflight and Fatespeaker's conversation when they found out that the NightWings tracked scavenger dens because they wanted to find Oasis' treasure.

The Brightest Night
Stone was in the prologue with Heath and Rose, when Oasis caught them stealing the SandWing treasure. He was later indirectly mentioned along with Rose and Heath when Smolder explained to Sunny that they had killed Oasis.

Dragonslayer

In the prologue, Stone went out with his younger brother, Heath, and his younger sister, Rose, to go steal treasure from Oasis. The idea was Heath's, but Stone was convinced to come along with them and is given the job of transporting the treasure. At the time the prologue takes place, Stone and Heath were waiting outside for Rose, who was grabbing more treasure. Stone argued with Heath about the treasure making them powerful, but Heath denied his ideas. Eventually, Rose came out of the treasure room with the extra treasure, and the trio began to go back to Valor. However, they are interrupted when Oasis attacked them. All three of them fought, but Stone eventually killed Oasis by stabbing her in the eye with his spear. After Oasis's death, Stone realized that Rose has gone missing. However, Heath's pride and the threat of incoming dragons stopped Stone from looking for Rose, but he still worried about Rose after he was long gone. Stone was mentioned again by Ivy's mother when Ivy asked her about the Dragonslayer, and why her Uncle Stone was yelling at him about running away from Valor. Ivy theorized that Stone wanted the Dragonslayer to slay all the other dragons, but Lark responded by saying that she would tell her why when she got older. A few years later, Stone had a dream that Rose was still alive, and so he left Valor to try to find her. He ended up in a dragon city, and he gave up and headed back home. He used his invisibility chain from the SandWing treasure to ride an ice dragon back to Valor, where he was found by the Wingwatchers. He explained what he had been doing, and when Rose was brought up, Ivy asked who she was. Stone brought Ivy and her friends to his cave and told them about Rose. Daffodil asked where the treasure was, and he admitted that he did not take any, except the invisibility chain. When Leaf came to Valor seeking the Dragonslayer and accidentally mentioned a message from the Indestructible City from the Invincible Lord which made Heath angry, Ivy took him to Stones' cave where he could hide with him until Heath calmed down. Stone grumpily accepted him and Leaf wanted to know the real truth about what happened and Stone replied with "No you don't." When Heath began arresting Wingwatchers from his paranoia about a conspiracy, two of his goons came to Stones door wanting to arrest Leaf whom Heath thought was an assassin. Stone lied and said he sent him to get some water which fooled some of the guards before Stone slammed the door in his face and he and Leaf escaped through a tunnel he dug a while ago, knowing he'd need it one day because of Heath's problem. They ran into Ivy and Daffodil to which Stone explained Heath was paranoid ever since the day Queen Oasis died. Stone took them to the ruins of the old village where they found Forest whom told them about Heath arresting more people and wanting Leaf so he could execute them all together to Ivy's horror. Not knowing what to do, Ivy, Daffodil and Leaf tried to think while Stone just slept in the ancient temple ruins. When Ivy used a the dreamvisitor and accidentally discovered Sunny and Rose was alive, they went to the SandWing Stronghold to get Rose back. When they arrived Stone was mistaken for Rose by a SandWing in the kitchen, and taken to Smolder, who pointed to Rose on the pillows and the dragon dropped Stone onto the pillows below. Rose was shocked to see her brother again while he burst into tears and they hugged each other. Stone told Rose what happened and when Ivy asked her to come home, she rejected, stating she didn't want to be bossed around anymore and Heath's problem wasn't hers to deal with and that she was happy with Smolder. Stone was upset given Rose was a 'pet' to Smolder but she was happy that way. When Rose mentioned Wren, Leaf was shocked and quickly wanted to find her and Rose called Sweetface (Cereus) who flew Leaf in Sky's direction and the siblings reunited before Sweetface went back with Leaf to get the others and bring them back over the wall where Stone indirectly met Wren.
