— Jerboa's thoughts, The Dangerous Gift

Scorpion was an adult female SandWing who ruled as queen of the SandWings during the era of Darkstalker. She died of a heart attack, which was induced by Jerboa after ruling for approximately sixty years.

Personality

Scorpion was greedy and power-hungry, always wanting more land, more power, and more of Jerboa's magic.[1] She loved treasure, and may have disrespected her alliances,[2] as she was mad with power.[3] She was also a very shrewd queen, as she greatly enriched the kingdom by allowing both the IceWings and the NightWings to fight over the Kingdom of Sand's territory as long as they stayed away from SandWing settlements and paid the SandWings massive amounts of treasure.[4]

Biography

The Lost Continent Prophecy

Jerboa noted that she could not remain in the desert until Scorpion was dead. She described Scorpion's greedy and possessive nature as she travelled through the Mud Kingdom. As she thought about enchanting an animal egg to be her future dragonet, Jerboa realized that she had to wait for Scorpion's death for it to be safe to have a dragonet. Jerboa later thought about the heart attack that she had enchanted Scorpion to die from. Jerboa told her daughter Boa, stories of Scorpion's cruelty which Boa remembered very clearly. Boa compared Snowfall to Scorpion, fearing that Snowfall might end up on the same path as Scorpion.

Legends

It was mentioned that she allowed the NightWings and IceWings to fight in the Kingdom of Sand as long as they avoided SandWing settlements and gave her treasure as payment. She was listed as one of Pyrrhia's ancient queens alongside Anaconda, Carmine, Crane, Diamond, Lagoon, Pearl, and Vigilance.

Relationships

Scorpion was possessive of Jerboa, keeping her away from other dragons.[5] She made Jerboa enchant her with longevity and healing,[1] but was ultimately killed by the animus with an induced heart attack.[3]

Trivia

  • Scorpion may have tried to wipe out the SkyWings using Jerboa's magic.[1]
