Newt is a male MudWing dragonet who was introduced in Moon Rising. He serves as the healer of his sibling troop[1] and is currently attending Jade Mountain Academy as a member of the Quartz Winglet.

Biography
The Jade Mountain Prophecy
After Sunny and the rest of the school staff made the speech about the bombing in the history cave, Newt was seen briefly walking with Sepia, looking for a muddy spot to lie around at Jade Mountain.
Field Guides
Newt was featured in the MudWing chapter of the guide where he was indirectly mentioned by Sepia in her notes on Wisemind's The Sluglike Qualities of MudWings. He was later mentioned in Sepia's A Few of the Noble Qualities of MudWings as being the healer of their sibling troop.
