Fathom enchanted a piece of bleached, white, drift wood to be a carving of an octopus. Then, he also willed it to be alive as Indigo's pet, and to be the most loyal and best pet on Pyrrhia, which Indigo then named Blob. Blob then climbed onto her head, which it seems to prefer to perch on. Indigo then worries jokingly if octopus hats were in that time of year.

Later when Indigo, Fathom, and [[Queen Pearl|Pearl]] were preparing for a party, Blob was perched Indigo's head. When the [[dragonets]] leave for the party, Indigo tells Blob to stay, because she could not bring him with her.

Blob is an animus-touched piece of carved driftwood in the shape of an octopus that was introduced in Darkstalker. He was created by Fathom as a pet for Indigo. He currently resides in the Court of Refuge, under the care of Paua.

Description

Blob is small and made of smooth, pale,[1] bleached-white driftwood.[2] He is adorable,[3] about the size of a full-grown dragon's foot, with eight[4] cheerfully flippy tentacles and a mischievous expression.[4] He has small, dark eyes[5] and still feels like wood, but malleable and warm at the same time.[3] He lacks ears.[6]

Five years later, Blob was seen playing with Fathom and Indigo's dragonets and then resting on the head of one of their dragonets, Ripple.
