"You have animus dragons, and you let them live?"
— Sunset to Lagoon, Darkstalker

Sunset was an adult female SkyWing princess who was introduced in Darkstalker. She was the daughter of Queen Carmine and was sent to discuss possible peace negotiations with the SeaWings about the new shore villages along with Eagle. She was killed by Albatross during the Royal SeaWing Massacre.

Description

Sunset had shiny, polished red scales the color of hibiscus petals, drops of blood, or giant rubies.[1] She had amber eyes.[2]

Personality

Sunset was wary of animus magic.[3] She seemed to share her tribe's wariness of "dangerous differences". She seemed supremely uninterested by Fathom's introduction of Indigo, and complained about the food being served raw at the Island Palace.[4]

Biography

The Jade Mountain Prophecy

Sunset was indirectly mentioned in the scroll, The Animus Histories, as one of the nine victims of the Royal SeaWing Massacre.

Sunset was indirectly mentioned as one of the nine dragons who were killed during the Royal SeaWing Massacre.

Legends

Her death spurred a treaty between the SkyWings and the SeaWings, which had involved gem payments for the next five years and land rights, as well as the SkyWings keeping the massacre a secret.
