Jerboa is quiet and thoughtful, similar to [[Moonwatcher]], and also appears to be kind and considerate. Despite being an animus, she doesn't seem to use her magic much. She is shown to welcome and trust others easily, such as taking care of [[Luna]]; and welcoming Moon and [[Qibli]] into her hut, despite them being strangers. She seems to dislike animus magic very much, even though she herself is an animus dragon. She seems to hate the attention of the IceWings her powers give her, such as at the end of ''The Poison Jungle ''she thinks "useless, just like I've always wanted" when she reveals animus magic is broken to Snowfall.

Jerboa II is a female SandWing who was mentioned in The Dangerous Gift. Very little is known about her, as she apparently "went wrong" after being created and was later disposed by Jerboa's animus magic.
Jerboa briefly thought about Jerboa II as the daughter who went wrong, and that she was mysteriously 'taken care of.' When Jerboa III learned about her existence, Jerboa noted that she was upset.
