[[Princess Sunny|Sunny]] recapped seeing Addax at the feast [[Ex-Queen Scarlet|Queen Scarlet]] was hosting for Burn. Sunny stated that he was a bit stuck up. Addax was noted to bow down very low to the princess. He didn't have his scar then, which is why Sunny didn't recognize him at first.

Addax first appears in front of [[Six-Claws]] when he was escorting Sunny to [[Queen Thorn|Thorn]], and he questioned who she was. Six-Claws dismissed him, and he watched them until they were out of his view.


He later deliberately set a fire to draw away Thorn. While she was distracted, Addax used [[Ostrich]], Six-Claws' daughter, as a hostage in exchange for Sunny. Addax wanted to give Sunny to Burn so she would allow him to return to her army and his family. Seeing this, Sunny agrees, but Six-Claws was reluctant. When Six-Claws eventually agrees, Addax makes up an unbelievable lie for Six-Claws to tell Thorn (that she decided she didn't want a criminal thug for a mother and went for the hills) but Sunny protests, telling Six-Claws to tell Thorn she was visiting her friends and would be back soon. Six-Claws presumably told Thorn the truth, as Thorn came barging into Burn's stronghold just to save Sunny.

After they arrive at [[Queen Thorn's Stronghold|Burn's stronghold]], Burn was out looking for "[[The Dragonets of Destiny|a certain quintet of dragonets]]", but [[Smolder]], her brother, was there. Addax told him that he wanted his reward for capturing Sunny, but Smolder told him to wait in the barracks until Burn returned. We never learned if he got a reward or not.

Addax is an adult male SandWing who was introduced in The Brightest Night. He was formerly a member of the Outclaws and a soldier in Princess Burn's army. His whereabouts are currently unknown.

Description

Addax has yellow scales[1] and a long scratch across one of his eyes that has also torn up part of his nose, disfiguring his face. He walks with a limp.[2]

Personality

Addax appears to be highly respectful of Burn, as Sunny thought when she saw him "bowing and scraping behind Burn" in the Sky Kingdom.[3] He is violent and aggressive, as he took several extreme measures just to prove his loyalty to Burn. However, he is also very loyal and caring towards his family, wanting to trade Sunny in order to reunite with them.[4] He has also shown some compassion as he released Ostrich while the Scorpion Den was still in sight for her to get back.[5]
