Queen Ruby is Cliff's mother. Scarlet said that Ruby lit up for the first time when Cliff was born, leading us to think that she cares very much about her young son, and that the day he was born was one of, if not happiest, days of her life. When Ruby returned to being [[Princess Tourmaline|Tourmaline]] , she seemed distressed that Cliff did not recognize or accept her. While the queen was being taken off by her soldiers, she told Cliff to be brave and that he would change the world.

Cliff is a male SkyWing dragonet prince who was introduced in Escaping Peril. He currently resides in the SkyWing palace with his mother, Queen Ruby and is well-known throughout the Sky Kingdom for his singing and songwriting.

Scarlet smiled grimly at her grandson upon first meeting him,[16] and she killed three SkyWing guards in front of the little dragonet not long afterwards.[24] She went on to call him ordinary[3] and insult his mother while he was in earshot.[25] Cliff later confessed that he thought Scarlet's behavior towards him was mean,[6] and when Cliff attempted to run to his mother after she returned to the Sky Kingdom, Scarlet threatened Ruby with Cliff's death.[26][17] She later explicitly stated how he would burn to death if Ruby disobeyed Scarlet's orders, all while Cliff was present.[19] He later glared at Scarlet before she taunted Ruby with all of the ways that she would control him.[16] He was eager to see Ruby kill Scarlet during their royal challenge.[14]
