The Burning of Bloodworm Hive was an event involving the attack on Bloodworm Hive by the PoisonWings. The burning was the first major offensive action on Queen Wasp and the HiveWings by the LeafWings since the Tree Wars and was an act of war.[1]

Description

Bloodworm Hive was selected to be burned down due to how cruel Lady Bloodworm was. The Hive was also noted to have the most Chrysalis members, which further motivated the burning. The LeafWings brought plants such as dittany, flaming ivy, and palm fronds from Dragonfly Bay. They also used plants that sprayed burning oil to help burn down the Hive, along with a strand of flamesilk from Blue collected in a jar.

Timeline

  • Blue finished his Metamorphosis and was revealed to be a flamesilk. Sundew collected a strand of flamesilk in a jar, which would then be used for the Hive's burning.[2]
  • Hemlock, Pokeweed, and Bryony were in charge of carrying out the burning. Sundew was going to attend but was busy.[3]
  • Grayling reported that the rest of the Chrysalis evacuated the SilkWing civilians, their eggs, and those undergoing Metamorphosis.[3]
